Remfry Dedman sat down with organisers Goc O’Callaghan, James Scarlett and Simon Maltas to discuss all things Post, Math and Rock. You’ve become the quintessential festival for Post / Math Rock in the UK within just two years. Did you imagine that ArcTanGent would become so successful so quickly? James: The confident answer is we?knew what we were doing and exactly how great it was going to be…but the reality is that we had no clue. We had a gut feeling that the line up would appeal to people but we didn’t really know how many people. I don’t think we did know really…Goc: One thing that we could never have pre-empted was the amount of people that fly in from all over the world to come to ArcTanGent. There’s people flying in from Japan, Sri Lanka, Australia, North and South America, and all over Europe. That wasn’t on our radar at all.
